過去にしたことについてたずねたり、答えたりできるようになりましょう。

We ate chicken last night.
（私たちは昨日の夜チキンを食べました）

は、過去形の肯定文です。「昨日の夜チキンを食べましたか？」という疑問文はどう表現するでしょうか。

Did you eat chicken last night?となります。

このように、一般動詞の場合は、
〝Did＋主語＋動詞の原形…?”で過去の疑問文になります。
「昨日の夜何を食べましたか？」は、
What did you eat last night?となります。

「何／誰／いつ／どこ」などの疑問詞を含む疑問文では、
Wh-語（What, Who, When, Whereなど）が文頭に来ます。

“Did you do your homework yesterday?”

「昨日宿題やった？」
